Hotel Features. The Governor Hotel added a west wing in 1923 to accommodate the Portland Elks Club, and took its architectural guidance from the Farnese Palace in Rome. The Dome Room features an eight-foot, stained-glass domed ceiling. Jake's Grill serves seafood, steaks and specialty desserts. Starbucks serves coffee specialties on site.
